I completed the IPCAPA doctoral clinical training as a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF) and received my doctorate from University College London (UCL) and the Anna Freud Centre.
At the beginning of my studies, I completed my BSc in Psychology at the University of Sussex and my MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology at UCL, in conjunction with the Anna Freud Centre.
Throughout my career, I have worked in nurseries, primary and secondary schools, young carers’ and children’s mentoring charities, and psychotherapy centres. These experiences allowed me to develop my clinical skills and a deep understanding of child development. In Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in the NHS, I was part of a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, family therapists, social workers and nurses. I worked with different age groups and complex presentations, including ADHD, ASD, trauma and children in care.
Currently, I work in private practice in Athens, Greece, and I also offer sessions remotely.
I am invested in providing an emotionally containing thinking space, using a creative, integrative and adaptable way of working that is tailored to each individual’s or family’s needs and pace. I value working together with my patients towards their emotional development and prioritise helping them to develop their own authentic self.
I am particularly interested in the teenage years and adolescent development.
I completed my doctoral research at UCL, focusing on maternal representations in mothers identified with Fabricated or Induced Illness (FII).
